Automated encrypted backup, built for recoverability

SaveState is the automated encrypted cloud backup service at savestate.dk. It protects selected personal files, business data, application exports, and Windows server data through scheduled, versioned, off-site backups.

What SaveState does

The SaveState Vault desktop agent encrypts backup data before upload, follows the schedule configured by the customer, and stores versioned restore points in EU-resident cloud storage. Compression and deduplication reduce the physical repository space used, and restores are included without a paid transfer overage.

Who SaveState is for

SaveState is built for people protecting important files, small businesses protecting day-to-day operational data, and technical operators protecting selected Windows server or application data. The same backup foundation supports each case: local encryption, scheduled restore points, off-site storage, and a recovery path that can be tested before it is needed.

How the service is built

SaveState combines a Windows backup agent, an account and subscription service, encrypted object storage, and a customer dashboard. Backup contents are encrypted on the protected device. Backblaze B2 provides the underlying EU Central object storage, while Cloudflare provides edge and application infrastructure.

The customer-side Windows client is open source. Its source code and release history are available in the official SaveState GitHub repository.

Start with a tested restore

A backup service is useful only when recovery works. SaveState customers should protect the data that matters, keep their recovery material safe, and periodically restore a representative snapshot to a separate location.
